17.30 – Paul Matthews 60th Birthday Celebration Handicap Chase – 2m
TAMARIS looked in need of the experience on his chase debut when only fifth but this should reveal more and a reproduction of his third at Fontwell would be more than enough to go close. FAMOSO caught the eye when second from the back of the field at Stratford last time and should be a leading player from the same mark in this race.
Tips: Tamaris, Famoso
18.00 – Pershore Plum Festival Land O’Plums Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f
MY GIFT TO YOU left all previous efforts behind when comfortably scoring at Southwell last week. Harry Cobden maintains the partnership who does the very low-weight again and they could follow-up turned out quickly. LAMANVER STORM ran her best race over fences last time when second and cannot be discounted either.
Tips: My Gift To You, Lamanver Storm
18.30 – Pershore Plum Festival Land O’Plums Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f
IF I SAY won over C&D back in September off a 2Ib higher mark and while she’s made the frame albeit beaten a fair way in her last couple of starts, she is the most likely runner to fill the frame. Of the remainder, SIR JACK WEST is also a previous C&D winner and should also be thereabouts.
Tips: If I Say, Sir Jack West
19.05 – Don’t Wait Check Your Prostate Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f
ASTROMACHIA has taken well to this sphere, who has already succeeded twice and has placed in his last two starts after winning in April. The top-weight has to be considered a threat, while SEA THE CLOUDS is better than his latest sixth and must be respected based on his previous hurdles form.
Tips: Astromachia, Sea The Clouds
19.40 – Tiddesley Wood Mares’ Maiden Hurdle – 2m
MILITARY TWO STEP could turn out to be a high-class horse over hurdles for the James Owens team. She was impressive in scoring on the Flat at Chester last-time-out and connections have booked Harry Cobden to ride her on hurdles debut. If she jumps well, she could have too many natural qualities for these.
Tips: Military Two Step
20.10 – Get Pulling With PJ Nicholls SsangYong Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m
PAINLESS POTTER wasn’t at his best at Stratford last-time-out when only fifth but this a lot less-competitive and he should be extremely competitive from an unchanged mark with Gavin Sheehan retained to ride as well. He has finished second over C&D twice too, which makes him an appealing choice for the list.
Tips: Painless Potter
