Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 12th January

13.20 – Weatherbys Scientific Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle

R S AMBUSH has finished second in two of his last three starts and should again be in the mix with more to come. I will also include BITSNBUCKLES, who should be suited to the step-up in distance and can make her presence felt.

Tips: R S AMBUSH, BITSNBUCKLES

13.50 – Weatherbys Private Bank Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle

COCO MADEMOISELLE returned a beaten favourite when second on her hurdles before but made no mistake at Lingfield next time. She is sure to start as a warm favourite and should be extremely hard to beat with improvement on the cards.

Tips: COCO MADEMOISELLE

14.20 – Arkle Finance EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle

TELLHERTHENAME lost his action in a Grade 1 at Aintree last time, so that effort can easily be excused. He had previously won in good style over C&D, and despite shouldering a penalty, Ben Pauling’s charge should be hard to beat back in calmer waters.

Tips: TELLHERTHENAME

14.50 – Weatherbys Chatteris Fen Juvenile Hurdle

KABRAL DU MATHAN made a successful start in France and could be capable of making a winning start for Paul Nicholls on his British debut. WHISPERING ROYAL shaped well when third on hurdles debut before opening his account at Doncaster. He should be thereabouts.

Tips: KABRAL DU MATHAN, WHISPERING ROYAL

15.20 – Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Chase

FELTON BELLEVUE arrives into the race in solid form, and Harry Cobden has been booked to ride, so he’s certainly got a chance from a 1Ib lower mark than when last successful. RIVER TYNE was pulled up on her return, but she had finished second in her five previous starts and must be respected.

Tips: FELTON BELLEVUE, RIVER TYNE

15.55 – Weatherbys Hamilton Mares’ Handicap Chase

BLUE BEACH shaped with promise in her first go over fences when third at Exeter three weeks ago and should go well in this easier race back in handicap company. JACKS TOUCH has won two of her last three starts and should feature in the outcome.

Tips: BLUE BEACH, JACKS TOUCH
